Driving Environmental Change: Dema Headley's Leadership as SVP, Director of Digital at Climate First Bank

Meet Dema Headley, SVP, Director of Digital at Climate First Bank. She began working with the Bank in December of 2021 because of her desire to deliver outstanding customer experiences whilst finding digital solutions to provide personalized, intuitive banking.  

“I always strive to step into the shoes of the client,” Dema explains. “I deliver, and expect my team to deliver, the caliber of service that I would anticipate as a customer. Customer feedback is taken to heart because it’s through this input that we can evolve and improve.”

Her position lies perfectly at the intersection of people and technology. As part of her role, Dema works to oversee the strategic planning and growth of the Digital Branch, helping to foster the development and expansion of the Bank’s Solar Lending program. She works closely with her clients to expand existing relations and forge new ones. Consistent follow-up and thorough execution are the cornerstones of her service culture.  

“Providing solutions to [clients’] immediate concerns, while also preemptively addressing potential future problems, is vital. Experience has taught me the value of setting realistic expectations and aiming to exceed them. By doing so, we guarantee personalized experience and superior service,” Dema says.

Although many aspects of her career promote her positive daily happenings, there is one attribute that stands out most.

“It's the people; I have the best team on the planet," Dema wrote. “Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure our customers' experience exceeds expectations, and I love that.”

Outside of her role with the Bank, Dema is heavily involved in the Indian American Business Association & Chamber (IABA) and spend lots of time organizing and attending events with the Chamber. She also enjoys volunteering, crafting, and spending quality time with family. She aims to learn something new each day, venturing outside of her comfort zone to embrace challenges and promote her personal development. In the future, she intends to aid communities in need of support by participating in a mission trip.
