Drawn to its motivating work environment, Jett Lazarus went from being a contractor for Climate First Bank to becoming a full-time Commercial Credit Analyst in 2021.

“I appreciate being part of a capable and thriving team. I’m working for a company that truly appreciates its employees,” Jett said.

Jett began his career at the University of Florida, where he chose to study on a pre-medical track after graduating high school. Not long after, he switched to economics, where he was able to focus his education on commercial credit. After completing two internships in the field, he built upon his career foundation by studying financial statements and forming spreads. Today, he works as a Commercial Credit Analyst at Climate First Bank, developing full commercial credit packages for several loan types, including law office acquisitions, RLOC (revolving line of credit) and SBA (Small Business Administration) loans for younger businesses.

“The best part of my role is working with highly skilled and experienced coworkers in commercial banking,” Jett shared. “They produce top-notch underwriting packages for loan approvals, and our most seasoned analysts provide excellent guidance, which helps me continually improve my skills.”

Outside of work, Jett is involved in various activities. He has been playing volleyball for 16 years, even becoming an Orlando Club Sport Volleyball Champion in Spring of 2023. Additionally, he plays pickleball and enjoys hiking, traveling and acoustic guitar.
